NDIS Eligibility
Are You Eligible?
- Individuals must be under 65 at the time of their initial application.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa.
- To be eligible, individuals must have a permanent and significant disability that substantially affects their ability to participate effectively in daily activities.
- Children under the age of 7 may be eligible if they have a developmental delay likely to result in a disability or if early intervention support is necessary to reduce the impact of the disability.
- The disability should significantly impact the person’s ability to engage in activities without support or assistance.
- Eligibility also considers whether a person will likely require support under the NDIS over their lifetime to achieve their goals.
